About us

Pam Brown, the late co-founder of Dog’s Day Out, began training dogs for a program that provided trained canines for children with autism. Along with co-founder and owner Angela Counts, Pam recognized the need for an upscale boarding and daycare facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Together, they opened Dog’s Day Out in 2006, initially offering the first daycare in Bowling Green, followed by boarding, training, and grooming services.

Starting with just the two of them and one employee, the business has since expanded to 17 employees and two buildings, featuring over 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor play areas. Located in Warren County, Kentucky, Dog’s Day Out sits on a beautiful 33-acre private farm, where Angela also resides. The dogs are surrounded by the picturesque Kentucky countryside, bordered by peaceful farmlands.
